Pour with a plan, not a guess.
Work out exactly how much epoxy your river table, mold or tabletop needs, how to split Part A and Part B, and when each layer can go down. Built on each maker's data sheet where one is published, otherwise its product page or FAQ, labeled under every product.

Area times thickness for each coat, with an optional seal coat and edges.
Open calculatorMix ratio
Part A and Part B by volume and by weight, using each product's published ratio.

Compare productsThe label and the data sheet don't always agree
Some product pages promise more than their own technical documents allow. Where a maker publishes a data sheet, EpoxyPlan uses its number, so your plan stays inside the manufacturer's limits. Where there is no data sheet, we use the maker's product page or FAQ and say so under the product.
Headline says up to 2 in deep. The data sheet allows 1/2 in per layer for river tables.
Product page lists a 36 h cure. The instructions give 5–7 days to full cure.
Headline says 2 in pours. The FAQ says to limit larger projects to 1 1/2 in at a time.
Built around how epoxy actually fails
Most bad pours come down to process: the wrong ratio, too deep a layer, or the wrong temperature. EpoxyPlan checks for those.
- Weight ratios per product2:1 by volume is not 2:1 by weight. EcoPoxy FlowCast is 2.3:1 by weight and FlowCast SPR is 2.5:1, though both are 2:1 by volume.
- Real recoat windowsFathom wants at least 36 h between layers. Stone Coat Ultra Deep goes on at gel stage, 17–22 h. Your plan uses the right one.
- River sections, not averagesEnter the width every 6, 10 or 12 in. We integrate the true shape and flag the widest point.
- Batch and heat warningsPer-layer caps, minimum pours and pot life by batch size, from each maker. Pour bigger than a depth allows and the plan switches to the maker's large-pour limit.

Four things to get right before you mix
- Match the temperatureKeep the shop, the wood and the epoxy in the product's range. Warm shops cure faster and hotter.
- Seal the formSheathing or Tyvek tape on melamine, every seam sealed. A pinhole can drain a pour.
- Measure the ratio exactlyNever adjust the ratio to change cure time. Use the product's own volume or weight ratio.
- Gloves and eye protectionEven low-odor hardeners can cause skin allergies. Wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses every time.
