Epoxy comparison

35 epoxies from 21 brands. Numbers come from the data sheet where the maker publishes one; otherwise from the maker's product page or FAQ, as labeled under each product. Where a product page and its data sheet disagree, we say so.

Each “View at” link goes to the maker's page. Some may become affiliate links, which can earn EpoxyPlan a commission at no cost to you; that never changes the numbers. Disclosure

Fathom Deep Pour
River tables, slabs and mold casting
Technical data sheet checked Oct 5, 2026: Technical data sheet (Feb 12, 2025) · Product page
Deep pour
2 / 3 in
2 in per layer for river tables and slabs; 3 in for mold castings of up to 1 mixed gallon per pour. At least 1 in deep.
2:1 by volume
100:44 by weight
4–6 h
5–7 days after the last layer
Recoat window
Safest: wait at least 36 h. 24 h is OK once the center is below 85 °F and firm.
Demold / handle
48 h for large, deep castings; 72 h for smaller ones
Temperature
60–80 °F and 0–80% relative humidity; 70 °F is best for thick pours. Do not use above 80 °F.
Seal coat
Don't seal with Fathom: the data sheet says it cures too slowly for a seal coat. Seal with a faster epoxy (TotalBoat names its High Performance Epoxy) and let it cure until firm before pouring Fathom.

Liquid Glass Deep Pour
River tables and deep casting
Product page and FAQ checked Oct 5, 2026: Product page and FAQ
Deep pour
2 / 4 in
2–4 in in a single pass, depending on temperature and mass. Superclear: the 4-inch ceiling is not a universal default; it needs 70–84 °F, an appropriate total mass and good heat dissipation, larger or heavier castings should stay toward the conservative end, and cooler temperatures allow deeper pours than warm ones. EpoxyPlan plans river tables at 2 in.

How these numbers were chosen

Every figure comes from the data sheet where the maker publishes one (a technical data sheet, technical bulletin or official instructions); otherwise from the maker's product page or FAQ, as labeled under each product with the date it was checked. When a product page and its data sheet disagree, the comparison uses the data sheet and notes the difference. Fields a maker doesn't publish are left blank rather than guessed.

Where a maker states a range that depends on conditions (for example “2–4 in depending on temperature and mass”), the planner uses the conservative end and shows the condition in the text. Batch-size rules (such as “2 in only with 10 fl oz or less mixed”) are applied automatically: a bigger pour is planned at the maker's large-pour limit.

Max pour depth is per layer under the maker's stated conditions. Warm shops, large volumes and narrow forms all change how much heat builds up, so treat the limit as a ceiling, not a target.

Prices aren't listed because they change often. Product links go to each manufacturer's own page.
